WotanismOdinism or Asatru as some may call it is the native religion of my ancestors. My family is from many roots. My fathers line is English and Scottish, my mothers line is German and French. I am sure I have many other ancestors who have other countries of origin also. All of these ancestors now have different names and many of their home lands speak different languages but in history they are all the same or closely related groups brothers, sisters, and cousins!

Our people have a native religion just like native Americas, because we are also native people, native northern European! So before the religion of Christ forced its way upon our folk we had our own native religion, just like all native people. Our way is called Odinism, some call it Asatru, Irminism, and other names, all of our holy gods are important but I use Odinism for our religion because our all father is Odin. He is the father of our folk and he is the symbol of our nature to be spiritual and look for the great why. Odin is the lord of wisdom and sacrificed himself to get to the greatest state of wisdom, so he serves as a role model for human kind.

Odinism is a tribal or native way, that means one man doesn't make all of the rules or dictate all the others. There is no great leader or one voice of god.
Every man and woman speaks with and hears the gods in their own way. My way of understanding is based on my level and ability to understand reality as I experience it, yours might be different, but no one is right or wrong, we are all on the right path, being true to our Gods, honoring our ancestors, and building our families to be strong and increasing our might through good deeds and always looking for that ultimate wisdom that the all father shows us.

Hail Odin! Hail the Gods! Hail our folk!
